Today I received the complete pension files from the National Archives for Nathaniel Gallop. He was our direct ancestor. His file is interesting because only "selected" files were available on microfilm at the ACPL. I knew there were a lot more pages. This file has over 100 pages in it.

Today I received notification from the National Archives that they could not locate the records of William Gallop. Bummer.

Genealogy of Captn John Johnson

Today I received portions of the book called "Genealogy of Captain John Johnson of Roxbury, Massachusetts", published in 1948. This book traces from Captain JJ to our ancestor Daniel Harris Johnson. I received these copies from Michele L who is a descendant of Harris Johnson (son of Daniel.)

Kansas state census

Today I found on www.ancestry.com a 1875 Kansas State Census listing for John and Hannah Hagan. Previously, I had only had them on the 1880 federal census.

New researcher

Made contact today with a fellow researcher/descendant (Sandy C.) of Richard Crego and Martha Gallop. She is descended from their son Henry.
