While I was at a genealogy conference in Fort Wayne, I discovered new research. The book is entitled "Baptism Record of Shokan Reformed Chuch of Shokan, Ulster County, NY 1799-1899" compiled by Arthur C.M. Kelly 1987. The book shows Andrew Hill and his wife and his son Uriah on the membership list of the church.

While I was at a genealogy conference in Fort Wayne, I discovered new research. It was in a book called "History of Ulster County, New York with illustrations and biographical sketches" by Nathaniel Bartlett Sylvester 1880.

There were many mentions of Andrew Hill:
- settled in [town of olive] area soon after the revolution;
- lists the names of all his sons and married names of his daughters
- he built a grist mill at Shokan before 1800
- he built his house in 1797
- listed on assessment roll of real and personal estate in Marbletown in 1811
- signed the certificate of 02 Sept 1800 for the incorporation of the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Shokan

While I was at a genealogy conference in Fort Wayne, I discovered new research. The book is entitled "Marbletown Reformed Dutch Church of Ulster County New York 1737 - 1944". The book shows Andrew Hill and his wife Juda Norton, members of the Presbyterian church received as members of this church on June 1,1799.

DAR revolutionary war record

Received today an e-mail from DAR with recap of Andrew Hill's service, (as was submitted on a member's application who claimed Andrew Hill as ancestor.) The bad part is that you can only ask for a copy of the application and cannot get a copy of the supporting documentation.

Their records say he did not have a pension. Which explains why the National Archives could find no pension file. Maybe I need to ask for his military service records from the Archives?

Today I received notification from the National Archives that they could not locate the records of Andrew Hill.
