DAR revolutionary war record

Received today an e-mail from DAR with recap of Uriah Avery's service, (as was submitted on a member's application who claimed Uriah Avery as ancestor.) The bad part is that you can only ask for a copy of the application and cannot get a copy of the supporting documentation.

This apparently is not "my" Uriah Avery ancestor. My ancestor lived only in New York and never from Connecticut (that I am aware of).

Today I received notification from the National Archives that they could not locate the records of Uriah Avery.
